- Hanoi / Ho Chi Minh City
- Fulltime
Job Description
VinRobotics, based in Hanoi, Vietnam, is developing advanced, high-performance controller and communication for humanoid and collaborative robots. We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design, validation, and optimization of products, including mechanical transmission structures, assembly structures, and smart connection systems.
Key Responsibilities
Solid understanding of mechanical structures and transmission mechanisms, with the ability to flexibly apply them to new designs and applications.
Good knowledge of current manufacturing technologies, enabling practical and feasible design implementation.
Create 3D designs clearly indicating materials used, illustrating structures, and performing comprehensive motion simulations
Conduct structural simulations to ensure the design meets load-bearing and durability requirements.
Generate 2D drawings based on 3D designs, ensuring all dimensions, tolerances, and technical specifications are fully defined to support manufacturing and inspection of components.
Fabricate and test prototype models to validate design performance and assess product assembly and integration feasibility.
Design tools and jigs based on product features and requirements to inspect dimensions, test functionality, and evaluate durability and lifespan of the product.
Research new technologies, including advanced materials and innovative structural designs worldwide, to apply them to the company’s products.
Monitor, review, and refine team members’ designs to ensure consistency across products. Train interns to support departmental tasks and develop future talent for the team.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
6+ years of experience in Mechanical design.
Have knowledge of mechanical structures and transmission mechanisms such as worm gear–worm wheel, gears, connecting rods, etc.
Have knowledge of manufacturing technologies such as CNC machining, casting, molding, 3D printing, etc.
Design mechanical components using 3D CAD software; develop assembly drawings for sub-assemblies and complete products.
Perform motion analysis, strength simulation, and structural analysis to ensure compliance with load requirements, industrial design standards, and mechanical durability.
Prepare detailed 2D technical drawings for machined components and complete assemblies, ensuring all tolerances are accurately defined and aligned with design intent and manufacturing capabilities.
Fabricate and test prototype models to validate design performance and assess product assembly and integration feasibility.
Research and design various inspection jigs for product testing and evaluation.
Develop assembly and product testing procedures.
Collaborate with the purchasing department to establish Statements of Requirements (SOR) for products and evaluate suppliers.
Identify and evaluate new technologies and innovative design structures, applying them to current products.
Review and refine designs and manufacturing processes for team members, and train new graduates to ensure they can perform tasks effectively and become future talent for the team.
Preferred Qualifications
Experienced in designing motion mechanisms, including gears, screw drives, and smart actuators, as well as in developing hand and finger structures.
