QA & Integration Specialist
- Hanoi / Ho Chi Minh City
- Full-time, In-office
Job Description:
VinRobotics is developing high-performance smart actuators for humanoid and collaborative robots. We are seeking a hands-on QA & Integration Specialist to handle both electro-mechanical assembly and functional testing of actuator prototypes. You will work closely with R&D teams to ensure system-level integration and quality validation across performance, durability, and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble actuator components including frameless motors, harmonic/planetary gearboxes, encoders, and housings.
Install internal wiring, harnesses, and PCB assemblies per design specifications and mechanical drawings.
Align and calibrate encoder positioning, shaft preload, and sensor placement to meet accuracy and repeatability requirements.
Collaborate with engineers during bring-up phases and provide hands-on support for prototype iteration and modifications.
Set up test benches to measure torque output, backdrive torque, speed, power consumption, and thermal performance.
Perform static and dynamic testing (no-load spin, step response, stress testing, thermal soaking).
Operate tools such as torque sensors, oscilloscopes, multimeters, thermal cameras, and power analyzers to gather performance data.
Identify integration issues, misalignments, electrical noise, or communication faults and assist with root cause analysis.
Record test procedures, measurement results, and findings in standardized QA logs and test reports.
Conduct visual inspections and functional checks before and after test cycles.
Provide technical feedback to firmware, mechanical, and electronics teams for iterative improvements.
Help refine test SOPs and improve integration/QA workflows for repeatability and scale-up.
Required Qualifications:
Technical diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in electromechanical assembly and product testing (robotics, actuators, or automation preferred).
Proficient with hand tools, torque drivers, calipers, soldering equipment, and measurement instruments.
Comfortable reading 2D mechanical drawings and wiring schematics.
Experience using torque sensors, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and data logging systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with encoder types (magnetic, optical), calibration methods, and alignment tolerances.
Experience testing motor drivers, EtherCAT communication, or real-time motion systems.
Ability to work with early-stage prototypes, assist in troubleshooting integration bugs, and iterate with engineers.
Basic skills in data analysis (Excel, Python) or using test automation scripts.
