Role Summary
We are seeking a Data Analyst (Operations Performance) to collect, analyze, and interpret operational data from robotic and automation systems. This role focuses on performance monitoring, data visualization, and generating actionable insights to enhance system efficiency and reliability. The ideal candidate has strong analytical and statistical skills, with hands-on experience working in industrial automation or robotics environments.
Core Responsibilities
1. Data Collection & Processing
Collect, clean, and process data from robotic systems, MES, PLCs, and IoT sensors.
Maintain data pipelines and ensure accurate and timely data availability for analysis.
Collaborate with software and IT teams to automate data extraction and aggregation workflows.
Ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with organizational data standards.
2. Performance Analysis & Insights
Monitor system KPIs such as uptime, MTBF, MTTR, and production throughput.
Conduct root cause analysis for performance anomalies and operational inefficiencies.
Build data models and performance dashboards to support operational decision-making.
Translate data insights into engineering recommendations for process or configuration improvements.
3. Visualization & Reporting
Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or Grafana.
Visualize trends and correlations that drive operational performance insights.
Present findings and key metrics to management and technical teams in a clear and actionable format.
Support performance review meetings by preparing detailed analytical summaries and visual aids.
4. Cross-functional Collaboration
Collaborate with Optimization Leads, Field Engineers, and QA teams to align analytical outcomes with business objectives.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by leveraging operational data insights.
Contribute to predictive analytics and performance forecasting models for robotics systems.
Maintain strong communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Skill Set
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
3–5 years of experience as a Data Analyst in industrial automation, manufacturing, or robotics sectors.
Strong proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or Grafana).
Solid understanding of statistical analysis, KPIs, and data-driven performance monitoring.
Experience with time-series data and equipment performance metrics (uptime, MTBF, OEE).
Excellent communication and presentation skills for technical and business audiences.
Nice to Have
Knowledge of industrial data systems such as SCADA, MES, or historian databases (e.g., Ignition, PI System).
Familiarity with predictive maintenance and anomaly detection models.
Experience with machine learning or process optimization analytics.
Exposure to automation environments using OPC-UA or MQTT protocols.
Reporting Structure
Reports directly to the Optimization Lead or Operations Manager. Works closely with Field Engineers, QA Teams, and System Architects to provide performance insights and improvement recommendations.
Work Environment
This position is primarily office-based, with occasional visits to manufacturing or logistics sites to understand operational workflows. The role requires frequent collaboration with cross-functional engineering and operations teams. Hybrid or remote work may be supported depending on project needs.
