  • Lead root-cause analysis for complex system, integration, and production issues.

4. Software Quality and Deployment

  • Establish engineering standards for software design, coding, testing, documentation, CI/CD, configuration management, and release processes.

  • Define simulation, SIL, HIL, regression, endurance, and field-validation strategies.

  • Lead robot commissioning, site testing, acceptance testing, and production deployment.

5. Technical Leadership

  • Lead architecture reviews, design reviews, and code reviews.

  • Mentor robotics software engineers and support technical competency development.

  • Contribute to engineering planning, task estimation, technical risk management, recruitment, and onboarding.

  • Collaborate with DevOps, Solution Architecture, QA, and Deployment teams.

Required Skill Set

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, Control Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proven experience leading the technical development of a robotic platform, product, or major software subsystem.

  • Advanced proficiency in modern C++ and Python.

  • Extensive experience with ROS2 and Linux-based development environments.

  • Strong understanding of distributed robotic architectures and multi-layered software stacks.

  • Strong expertise in at least two of the following:

    1. SLAM and localization.

    2. Autonomous navigation and motion planning.

    3. Robot manipulation.

    4. Humanoid locomotion or whole-body control.

    5. Perception and sensor fusion.

    6. Multi-robot systems and fleet management.

    7. Task planning and behavior planning.

  • Strong knowledge of control theory, linear algebra, numerical methods, and optimization.

  • Hands-on experience deploying, testing, and debugging software on physical robots.

  • Strong knowledge of multithreading, concurrency, distributed systems, software design patterns, automated testing, and CI/CD.

  • Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and lead cross-functional technical decisions.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AMRs, AGVs, autonomous forklifts, or industrial mobile robots.
