At the 80th Anniversary National Achievements Exhibition in Hanoi, Vingroup showcased a lineup of humanoid robots under the VinRobotics brand. At present, these robots are still undergoing upgrades and development, while their AI system continues “learning” every day. A commercial product is expected in the near future.
The robot version I’m sharing in this article is designed as an “assistant” for factories, industrial sites, or environments that are harsh or hazardous. This is the third-generation model from VinRobotics, equipped with 31 smart motors, weighing 75 kg, and standing 1.78 m tall.
The robot uses rotary joints that simulate human movements, powered by an internal system of smart motors.
It is fitted with two batteries; while the robot is in operation, each battery can be replaced individually without shutting down or restarting.
From real-world observation, the robot is capable of walking in crowded spaces (like the exhibition). Its arms can perform gestures such as waving, shaking hands, saluting, and other movements.
Each arm can lift objects weighing up to 3 kg.
At the moment, the robot is being controlled for operation. However, both the hardware and software are in their final stages of development, aiming toward full automation.
