We are seeking Reliability Test Engineers to lead the design and execution of test plans that ensure our robots meet lifetime reliability targets. In this role, you will work cross-functionally to develop accelerated life tests, analyze failures, and provide actionable, data-driven recommendations to the design team. You will play a key role in shaping our reliability strategy from the earliest stages of product design.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute accelerated life test specifications for actuators, batteries, structures, bushings, wiring, sensors, and full systems.
Lead and organize DFMEA efforts with hardware engineers to identify and mitigate issues early in the design phase.
Author detailed reliability test procedures and documentation.
Collaborate with reliability test engineers to define testing fixtures, electronics, and automation codes.
Define and implement a data-driven reliability strategy to achieve lifetime performance targets.
Document failures and work with mechanical and electrical design engineers to implement and validate design improvements.
Support failure analysis efforts for components and systems undergoing reliability testing.
Analyze real-world robot work cycles to design accelerated test plans that correlate with usage scenarios.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in test engineering, reliability testing, or durability testing.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.
Expertise as a reliability engineer with strong knowledge of failure modes in one or more of the following:
Electro-mechanical systems.
Battery packs.
Electronics.
Strong knowledge of accelerated life reliability testing methods, such as high temperature/high humidity, thermal shock, thermal cycling, heat soak, HALT, and vibration.
Experience with statistical analysis tools, such as Weibull++, JMP, or similar.
Experience with instrumentation setup for novel components, including CAD design, electronic instrumentation, and coding for automation.
