Job Description:
VinRobotics, based in Hanoi, Vietnam, is developing cutting-edge smart actuators for humanoid and collaborative robots. We're seeking a skilled and proactive Sourcing & Procurement Specialist to strategically manage the sourcing, negotiation, and procurement of critical actuator components. You will directly impact our product development timelines, cost efficiency, and component quality by cultivating strong vendor relationships, optimizing supply chain logistics, and implementing strategic procurement practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed market research and supplier assessments, including supplier capability audits, cost analysis, lead time evaluation, and quality assurance capabilities.

• Lead negotiations to secure optimal pricing, delivery timelines, payment terms, and quality assurances with component vendors.

• Maintain positive, strategic relationships with suppliers to ensure priority support, quality consistency, and proactive management of supply chain risks.

• Manage end-to-end procurement process: component ordering, PO issuance, lead time tracking, customs clearance coordination, and component delivery scheduling.

• Track, analyze, and document supplier performance metrics (OTD – on-time delivery, quality rejects, responsiveness), and lead supplier improvement initiatives as needed.

• Work closely with mechanical, electrical, and embedded software engineering teams to understand precise technical requirements, facilitate effective communication with suppliers, and provide alternative sourcing strategies.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation, including procurement contracts, supplier agreements, transaction records, import/export documents, and procurement reporting.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related fields.

• 3+ years of professional experience in sourcing and procurement, ideally within manufacturing, robotics, electronics, or related technology industries.

• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills with demonstrated ability to secure favorable procurement terms.

• Experience managing international procurement logistics, including customs procedures, import/export requirements, and inventory management.

• Solid understanding of engineering Bill of Materials (BoM), technical specifications, and supplier quality assurance practices.

• Proficiency with procurement software tools, ERP/MRP systems, and Microsoft Excel for inventory and cost management.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience specifically in sourcing and procuring components for electromechanical systems, robotic assemblies, or precision actuator technologies.

• Familiarity with specialized robotics components (frameless motors, harmonic/planetary gearboxes, encoders, torque sensors).

• Knowledge of electronics sourcing, including PCB fabrication, SMT components, power electronics, and related supply chains.

• Experience working with contract manufacturers and international suppliers (China, Japan, Europe, USA).

• Certification in supply chain management or procurement (CIPS, CPSM, CSCP).

• Ability to read technical drawings, datasheets, and specifications to effectively communicate with engineering teams and suppliers.
